Sheikh Abdul-Muhsin Al-Abbaad حفظه الله تعالى said:
Surah Al-Faatihah is the greatest Surah in the Qur'aan, due to the hadeeth of Abu Sa'eed ibn Al-Mu'allaa collected by Al-Bukhari (4474), and it includes the three categories of At-Tawheed: Tawheed Ar-Ruboobeeyah, Tawheed Al-Uloohiyyah and Tawheed Al-Asma Was-Sifaat.
Tawheed Ar-Ruboobeeyah is to single out Allaah, the Most High, in His Actions, such as creating, sustaining, giving life, causing death and other than that from His Actions, the Most High. This means that Allaah is alone in His Actions, and none has a share of it with Him, (whether that be) in His origination of the creation or giving life or causing death.
Likewise, Tawheed Al-Uloohiyyah is singling Him out, Glorified be He the Most High, with the actions of the slaves, such as; supplication (Du'aa), fear, hope, reliance, seeking aid, seeking salvation, sacrificing and other than that from the actions of the slave. So, it is incumbent upon the servants that they make it sincerely for Allaah, and that they do not set up partners for Allaah in His Worship. So just as there is no creator except Allaah, nor is there a Giver of life except Allaah, nor is there a Causer of death except Allaah; then (likewise) there is no deity worthy of worship in truth except Allaah.
As for Tawheed Al-Asma Was-Sifaat, it is to affirm that which Allaah affirmed for Himself or what His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم affirmed for Him, from Names and Attributes. While not distorting them, changing their meanings or denying them. And also without trying to explain how they are, nor likening them (to the attributes of the creation), as Allaah said:
"There is nothing like unto Him and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer." - Ash-Shuraa: 11
Certainly this noble verse is a clear proof of the creed of Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaa'ah regarding the Attributes of Allaah; which is an affirmation (of them) whilst negating imperfection (or any similarity to the creation). So in Allaah's saying: "...And He is the All-Hearer the All-Seer" (then this is) affirmation of His two Names As-Samee' (the All-Hearer) and Al-Baseer (the All-Seer), and they are both proofs for the affirmation of the two Attributes of (perfect) Hearing and (perfect) Seeing for Allaah.
Also in His saying, the Most High: "There is nothing like unto Him..." then this is freeing Allaah, the Most High, of any resemblance to the creation in their attributes. So Allaah, Glorified be He the Most High, has Hearing that is not like the hearing of the creation, and has Sight that is not like their sight.
Infact, the first Ayah in this great Surah [Surah Al-Faatihah] includes all three categories of At-Tawheed. As for Tawheed Al-Uloohiyyah, then its proof is in His saying: "All praise is due to Allaah" - because the servants attributing all praise to their Lord is worship and laudation of Him, and it is from their actions.
And as for Tawheed Ar-Ruboobeeyah, then it is in His saying, the Most High: "Lord of the Aalamin." For verily He, Glorified be He the Most High, is the Lord, Creator, and Owner of everything. As in the saying of Allaah:
"O mankind! Worship your Lord (Allah), Who created you and those who were before you so that you may become Al-Muttaqun. He who has made the earth a resting place for you, and the sky as a canopy, and sent down water (rain) from the sky and brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you. Then do not set up rivals unto Allah (in worship) while you know (that He Alone has the right to be worshipped)." - Al-Baqarah: 21-22
And as for Tawheed Al-Asma Was-Sifaat, then within the Ayah is included two Names from the Names of Allaah, and they are:
1) "Allaah" in His saying: "(all praise) is due to Allaah", and;
2) "Ar-Rabb" (the Lord) in His saying: "Lord of the Aalamin."
