Lying in Wait for a Mistake

The Noble scholar Shaykh Rabī (May Allāh preserve him) said:

"And if your brother makes a mistake, then advise him with gentleness and present to him the evidence and proofs so that Allah may benefit him by that. As for sitting and lying in wait for fulān to make a mistake, and then getting up and defaming him here and there that he did this and that, then these are ways of the devils and not the way of the salafis."
